Adoptions fees help to cover only some of the reimbursement for the rescue, veterinarian care, vaccines, and the spay/neuters for the cats and kittens.
Each cat and kitten averages a price tag of $300. Although some may cost only $100 and others $500 or more. I need to charge a reasonable adoption fee for each.
There is not a profit made. I run this rescue at a loss and do it solely for helping these innocent cats and kittens that did not ask to be put in the circumstances they were given
before coming to me.
Unless stated in the contract adoption fees are not refundable. I will accept the kitty back for any reason, and will offer another kitty for adoption only once for no extra fee.
Each kitty is known to be healthy and ready for adoption at the time of adoption. Due to the nature of animals I can not guarantee the health of the kitty after adoption.
Young kittens 2-4 months old are more likely to become sick in a new household than older kittens, because they have weaker immune systems.
Adoption fees are not refunded because of the time and effort involved in the adoption process, and the kitty is now coming back from a different environment and has possibly been exposed to other animals which then poses an additional risk.
In addition Humanity For Cats is not responsible for damages to your property or yourself after adoption of the kitty. The kitty will be your financial responsibility.
I hope that everyone can find the kitty they want and live happily ever after. Please understand kitties are not merchandise, they are live animals.
